I've always been a sucker for books set in the far North. Mrs. Mike and Tisha are two of my favorites. Although I know you can have too much of a good thing, I love snow. That's why I ended up in the Mid -- South, of course. :)
In reference to an e-reader, I downloaded the free PC Kindle from Amazon, and I load it with free books -- lots of classics mostly. Once they're downloaded I can read them off line, unless I archive them. Then they seem to be removed from my computer and stored somewhere till I retrieve them. I think the real thing works the same way, but I prefer reading from my laptop 'cuz the screen is bigger.
How is Fall in Alaska? I love it here -- perfect days.Teri Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03999534282021701036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7581296539886871320.post-11443513436529954322010-10-08T18:31:40.291-08:002010-10-08T18:31:40.291-08:00Juju, not to argue with you - I really don't k...Juju, not to argue with you - I really don't know for sure, but it's my understanding that, the books you're reading on an ereader are not stored on the reader itself. They are stored on wherever your account is out there in cyberspace. That's what I've been told anyway. Therefore, they need an internet connection in order for a book to be read. My internet dish gets shut off at night.

PS glad you like the house. It may get a paint job one of these days.Anna L. So for example, you go online, choose the book you want, and then it needs to have a wireless connection to receive the book. But that's it. Then you can read all the books stored on it off battery power. The reader should run a couple of days on battery power before needing a charge.Tales of Whimsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10938494589922620170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7581296539886871320.post-80004934399195268682010-10-08T12:09:17.254-08:002010-10-08T12:09:17.254-08:00PS
